Important information to prepare for your outpatient procedure at Chicago Surgery Center.
Before Your Surgery
Please carefully follow all pre-operative instructions provided by your physician. Unless otherwise directed:
• Do not eat or drink after midnight before your procedure
• Take only medications approved by your physician
• Avoid wearing jewelry, makeup, or contact lenses
• Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you home
What to Bring
• Photo identification
• Insurance card
• Medication list
• Any required medical forms
• Comfortable clothing
Arrival Instructions
Please arrive at the scheduled time provided by our staff. This allows adequate time for pre-operative preparation and evaluation.
Our clinical team will guide you through registration, preparation, and surgical intake procedures.
During Your Visit
Your care team will review your medical information, confirm your procedure details, and answer any final questions.
After surgery, you will be monitored in our recovery area until you are cleared for discharge.
After Discharge
You will receive written discharge instructions specific to your procedure.
If you experience unexpected symptoms or complications, contact your physician or seek emergency medical care immediately.
If you experience chest pain, difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, or a high fever, call 911 immediately.
